Once, there was a green hill that was a volcano. But there were some blue warriors that were mining on the hill and the volcano got angry and it erupted. Then Planet Blue started shaking. Later on, the volcano burst out lava and rock. There was only a small group of people that were still alive.They were so angry with the volcano that they decided that they would stop it. As they huddled around the fire and discussed their plan a boy (Tim) stood up and said "when we arrive at the volcano we'll chuck my magic net over the top. That will stop him erupting". The next day they got their bags and set out. When they arrived in the late afternoon, the volcano saw them and tried to erupt, but Tim stepped forward and quickly threw the magic net over the top of the volcano. Suddenly there was an explosion of light and the people couldn't believe what they saw. The volcano had turned into a golden hill.
Today we know this as the Mighty Hill.
Hi Simon, I really enjoyed your story about Tim and the exploding volcano on Planet Blue. Tim was a great hero who certainly saved the day when he threw his magic net over the volcano and turned it into Mighty Hill. A great piece of writing and an excellent story Simon. Well done. Mrs R
ReplyDeleteHi Simon, I'm a teacher from Netherton School near Paeroa. I like your story a lot - I wonder; were you inspired by the legend of Maui and the Sun to use a net in your story? It is neat to use stories and your imagination to make something new. :-)
